PBHP - Policies, Organization Structure

PBHP – Policies, Strategies and Approaches in our Dhammaduta Mission
· Non-Sectarian (The 3 Schools of Theravada, Mahayana and Vajarana are accepted)
· Bi-Lingual ( Chinese and English are used in the programs and activities )
· Diverse Skillful means are used in the Dhamma promotion
· A balance between ‘Reaching out’ and ‘Self-development of the mind’ is adopted

Background of PBHP
November 1986 – A pro-tem committee was set up. Dhamma activities were held in a member’s residential home
February 1987 – First rented premises in a house of a housing estate
June 1987 - Second rented premises in a double-storey semi-detached house
28 August 1987 – Persatuan Buddhist Hilir Perak officially registered
November 1994 – PBHP moved to its own building at Jalan Jawa, Teluk Intan
December 2001 – PBHP Land & Building Fund for a new building was launched
2002 – 2004 Construction work on the new building of PBHP
2005 – 2006 Use of the new building of PBHP
1 January 2007 - Official Opening of New Building. 20th Anniversary Celebration
